Le manoir de Lezaven est un ensemble constitué par un logis du 15e siècle formé de deux ailes en retour d'équerre avec une tour d'escalier dans l'œuvre, remanié au 17e siècle, des communs du 19e siècle prolongeant le logis au sud, auxquels une restauration récente a fait perdre tout caractère, un corps de bâtiment prolongeant le logis vers l'est, construit vers 1865 pour y ménager un atelier de peintre, dit atelier de Gauguin, et enfin, une cour avec son portail d'accès. Si Gauguin a effectivement effectué quatre séjours à Lezaven (1886, 1888, 1889 et 1894), le manoir a surtout servi d'atelier et de source d'inspiration à l'école américaine de Pont-Aven, grâce à Robert Wylie.

History
The manor of Lezaven is an ensemble consisting of a 15th-century main dwelling formed of two wings in return of square with a stair tower within the walls, remodelled in the 17th century, outbuildings of the 19th century extending the dwelling to the south, to which recent restoration has caused all character to be lost, a building extending the dwelling towards the east, built around 1865 to provide a painter's studio, called Gauguin's studio, and finally, a courtyard with its access gateway. While Gauguin did indeed make four stays at Lezaven (1886, 1888, 1889 and 1894), the manor primarily served as studio and source of inspiration for the American school of Pont-Aven, thanks to Robert Wylie.
