Le château aurait été bâti, à l'origine, par Etienne, comte de Penthièvre, au 12e siècle. Les vestiges actuels remontent à la reconstruction du 15e siècle. L'ensemble a été vendu comme bien national à la Révolution. Les pierres du château ont servi à la construction des fermes alentour. La tour d'angle contient un escalier ayant conservé son noyau intact.

History
The castle is said to have been built, originally, by Etienne, count of Penthièvre, in the 12th century. The present remains date from the reconstruction of the 15th century.
