Premier "gratte-ciel" de Paris, cette tour de logements de 23 niveaux mesurant 67 mètres de hauteur, est construite de 1958 à 1960 par l'architecte Edouard Albert, en collaboration avec Robert Boileau et Jacques Labourdette. La structure porteuse est composée de tubes d'acier remplis de béton sur lesquels reposent des dalles en béton armé. Les contreventements sont assurés par des tubes métalliques, en partie visibles en façade. Au sixième étage, une terrasse, originellement ouverte au public, comporte un plafond de 600 mètres carrés, peint en noir et blanc par Jacques Lagrange.

History
Paris's first "skyscraper", this residential tower of 23 storeys measuring 67 metres in height, was constructed from 1958 to 1960 by the architect Edouard Albert, in collaboration with Robert Boileau and Jacques Labourdette. The load-bearing structure is composed of steel tubes filled with concrete on which reinforced concrete slabs rest. The wind-bracing is provided by metal tubes, partly visible in the façade. On the sixth storey, a terrace, originally open to the public, comprises a ceiling of 600 square metres, painted in black and white by Jacques Lagrange.
