L'ancienne demeure du chevalier Castagnola, dont la construction remonterait au début du 17e siècle, est un témoin de l'histoire de la ville. History
The former residence of the knight Castagnola, whose construction is said to date from the early 17th century, is a witness to the history of the city. Thus, on the left lateral façade, is found a bas-relief set into the wall, representing the Virgin, the Infant Jesus and Saint Roch who prevented the plague of 1570 from passing beyond these limits. It also preserves the memory of the rivalry which opposed the Castagnola family to its neighbours, the Cardi. This four-storey building covered with lauzes, opens, on rue des Terrasses, by a portal with round arch and rustication, surmounted by a broken pediment. The vestibule retains rib vaults with corners painted with geometric and rural motifs. Two paintings occupy the lunettes (reference to the Battle of Lepanto in 1571; representation of the city of Loreto).
