Appelée également "Villa La Ferrandière" (du nom du quartier où elle se situe) , cette maison a été construite par le Bureau Technique de Construction, sous la direction des ingénieurs Léon Lelièvre et Léon Barbier, pour Adolphe Lafont, un industriel du vêtement dont l'usine (aujourd'hui disparue) se trouvait à proximité et avait été construite par le même bureau d'ingénieurs. Les plans et les dessins de la villa sont datés de 1921. Conçue en béton armé, son architecture se rapproche de celle de Tony Garnier (toit-terrasse, pergola, bow-window). Also called "Villa La Ferrandière" (named after the district where it is located), this house was built by the Technical Construction Bureau, under the direction of engineers Léon Lelièvre and Léon Barbier, for Adolphe Lafont, a clothing industrialist whose factory (now disappeared) was located nearby and had been built by the same engineering firm. The plans and drawings of the villa are dated 1921. Conceived in reinforced concrete, its architecture is similar to that of Tony Garnier (flat roof, pergola, bow-window). The interior decoration was designed at the initiative of Madame Lafont, in the style of villas of Pompeii. It includes a painted frieze by R. Burretta, bas-reliefs by Cavina, a decoration of marbles by Ernesto Giavina; several stained-glass windows are signed J. Mayosson, others Jacques Gruber, of Nancy (these came from the former Lyon apartment of the Lafont family).
