Bourse du travail construite de 1929 à 1936 par Charles Meysson, architecte en chef de la ville de Lyon. La grande mosaïque extérieure de la rue de Créqui, mise en place en 1934 par 35 mosaïstes, est l'oeuvre du peintre Fernand Fargeot. Elle représente "la ville embellie par le travail" ; on y reconnaît les figures de l'architecte Meysson et du maire Edouard Herriot. La décoration intérieure de l'édifice, réalisée en 1936, est due à une douzaine d'artistes lyonnais. Elle comporte des panneaux en simili-plâtre et de grands tableaux, dont certains relèvent du "réalisme socialiste". La grande salle de spectacle a été modifiée en 1971, supprimant le plafond lumineux d'origine.

History
Labour Exchange built from 1929 to 1936 by Charles Meysson, chief architect of the city of Lyon. The large exterior mosaic on rue de Créqui, put in place in 1934 by 35 mosaicists, is the work of painter Fernand Fargeot. It represents "the city embellished by labour"; one recognises in it the figures of architect Meysson and mayor Edouard Herriot. The interior decoration of the building, carried out in 1936, is due to a dozen Lyon artists. It includes simili-plaster panels and large paintings, some of which fall under "socialist realism". The large auditorium was modified in 1971, removing the original luminous ceiling.
