Lédifice présente un plan complexe formé par lassociation de deux corps de logis principaux, est et ouest, flanqués de tours, reliés par des corps de bâtiment ou des courtines autour dune cour irrégulière. Bien quayant subi de profondes transformations intérieures, les structures dorigine, notamment la distribution des pièces, peuvent aisément être retrouvées.

History
This 15th-century castle, at the transition between the medieval fortified residence and the Renaissance country house, is the principal fortified house preserved in Lyon. The building presents a complex plan formed by the association of two main bodies of lodging, east and west, flanked by towers, connected by bodies of building or curtain walls around an irregular courtyard. Although having undergone profound interior transformations, the original structures, notably the distribution of rooms, can easily be found again.
