Garage construit de 1930 à 1932 par l'architecte Maurice-Jacques Ravazé, chef du service architecture à la Société anonyme André Citroën. Appelée "la plus grande station-service du monde", elle est la dernière et la plus monumentale d'une série d'une vingtaine de succursales Citroën construites entre 1920 et 1935. Les différents services (exposition, vente, stockage et réparations) sont répartis sur six niveaux. Deux rampes superposées montent le long de la façade donnant sur la rue Bechevelin. Le hall d'exposition octogonal, à l'angle des rues de Marseille et de l'Université, a été modifié en 1971 par la création d'un nouveau plancher qui dénature l'esprit théâtral du lieu.

History
Garage built from 1930 to 1932 by architect Maurice-Jacques Ravazé, head of the architecture department at the Société anonyme André Citroën. Called "the world's largest service station", it is the last and most monumental of a series of some twenty Citroën branches built between 1920 and 1935. The various services (showroom, sales, storage and repairs) are distributed over six levels. Two superimposed ramps run along the façade facing rue Bechevelin. The octagonal exhibition hall, at the corner of rue de Marseille and rue de l'Université, was modified in 1971 by the creation of a new floor which detracts from the theatrical spirit of the place.
