Cette villa de style néo-normand a été construite au début du 20e siècle par Georges Pichereau, architecte caennais, pour Henri de Rothschild. Elle occupe l'emplacement d'une ferme ayant appartenu au romancier Gustave Flaubert, et s'appelle aussi La Ferme du Coteau. A partir des années 1920, elle est devenue la résidence du milliardaire américain Ralph-Beaver Strassburger. La villa a été léguée à la ville de Deauville.

This villa in the Neo-Norman style was built in the early 20th century by Georges Pichereau, an architect from Caen, for Henri de Rothschild. It occupies the site of a farm that belonged to the novelist Gustave Flaubert, and is also called La Ferme du Coteau. From the 1920s onward, it became the residence of American billionaire Ralph-Beaver Strassburger. The villa was bequeathed to the town of Deauville.
