Historique
Ancienne église du collège des Jésuites fondé en 1620. Divisée pendant la Révolution par un plancher qui isole la bibliothèque du rez-de-chaussée. Les boiseries qui encadrent la bibliothèque proviennent de la chartreuse du Val-Dieu, et ont sans doute été sculptées par les religieux. Au 18e siècle, une nouvelle construction a été accolée à la face sud du monument pour recevoir une collection particulière léguée à la ville.

History
Former church of the Jesuit college founded in 1620. Divided during the Revolution by a floor that isolates the library from the ground floor. The panelling that frames the library comes from the Charterhouse of Val-Dieu, and was undoubtedly sculptured by the religious community. In the 18th century, a new construction was attached to the south face of the monument to house a private collection bequeathed to the town.
