Construit en 1776, ce moulin à vent, de type pivot, de physionomie élancée caractéristique, était un ancien tordoir à huile qui a d'abord travaillé sur l'ancienne paroisse de Somain. Il a été converti en moulin à farine (deux paires de meules) à l'occasion de son transfert en 1901. Depuis longtemps remarqué, sa protection au titre de la législation de 1930 est intervenue dès 1970. Racheté par la commune, il a été restauré.

History
Built in 1776, this pivot-type windmill, of characteristic slender physiognomy, was an old oil mill which first worked on the old parish of Somain. It was converted into a flour mill (two pairs of millstones) on the occasion of its transfer in 1901. Long since noticed, its protection under the 1930 legislation was implemented as early as 1970. Repurchased by the commune, it was restored.
