History

Chapel and cemetery (graves included): 12th century, 14th century, 15th century; Castle and outbuildings: 17th century, 18th century. Progressively abandoned during the 20th century, the building fell into ruin. The fief existed from the 11th century. At the beginning of the 16th century, the building is described as enclosed by walls, moats and towers. Although remodelled during the Renaissance, it still possessed the character of old feudal manors. The buildings are comprised between two courtyards surrounded by moats. They comprise a ground floor, two storeys and a roof space whose dormers had alternately triangular and circular pediments. On the second floor, in the axis of the entrance, a window is framed by two corbelled turrets with pepper-pot roofs. The outbuildings comprised a ground floor and a storey whose windows with triangular and circular pediments extended beyond the base of the roof. Of the outbuildings only remains part of the north pavilion of the west wing. The chapel is virtually intact. The cemetery has disappeared.
