Un château féodal semble exister sous le règne de Saint-Louis. En 1652, un incendie ravage l'édifice. La reconstruction est achevée en 1678. L'édifice présente un grand corps de bâtiment, terminé à chaque extrémité par un pavillon carré. Le pavillon central est délimité par des moulures. Un escalier de pierre, à double volée demi-circulaire, fait communiquer rez-de-chaussée et jardin. Les portes du sous-sol sont surmontées de frontons. Les communs touchent le château à l'ouest et en sont séparés à l'est. Ils se développent symétriquement de chaque côté d'une cour intérieure. Il s'agit de deux corps de bâtiment du 17e siècle, à deux étages, surmontés d'un toit charentais très plat.

History
A feudal castle seems to exist under the reign of Saint-Louis. In 1652, a fire ravages the building. Reconstruction is completed in 1678. The building presents a large corps de logis, terminated at each end by a square pavilion. The central pavilion is defined by mouldings. A stone staircase, with double semi-circular flight, connects ground floor and garden. The basement doors are surmounted by pediments. The outbuildings touch the castle to the west and are separated from it to the east. They develop symmetrically on each side of an interior courtyard. These are two bodies of building of the 17th century, with two storeys, surmounted by a very flat Charentais roof.
