Historique
En 1105, l'évêque de Saintes décida de faire construire l'église. La façade s'ouvre par une porte centrale encadrée de deux fausses portes. L'arcade en plein cintre de chacune est formée par deux voussures portées par deux colonnes à chapiteau sculpté. Chaque archivolte est formée d'entrelacs mêlés de figures d'hommes et d'animaux. Le clocher présente une colonnade au premier étage. L'étage supérieur a été refait au 15e siècle. L'accès se fait par une tour terminée en pyramide. La nef, voûtée en berceau, se termine par une abside en cul de four, éclairée par trois fenêtres symboliques refaites au 12e siècle. Les fenêtres de la nef ont été refaites au 13e siècle. Le transept sud présente une abside voûtée en cul de four et orientée comme l'abside principale.

History
In 1105, the bishop of Saintes decided to have the church built. The façade opens through a central door framed by two false doors. The round arch of each is formed by two voussoirs carried by two columns with sculpted capital. Each archivolt is formed of interlace mixed with figures of men and animals. The bell tower presents a colonnade on the first storey. The upper storey was remade in the 15th century. Access is by a tower terminated in a pyramid. The nave, vaulted in barrel vault, terminates in an apse in cul de four, lit by three symbolic windows remade in the 12th century. The windows of the nave were remade in the 13th century.
