Historique
Eglise d'origine romane, donnée en 1107 à l'abbaye d'Ebreuil qui l'unit à son prieuré Saint-Léger-de-Cognac. Détruite pendant les guerres de Religion, elle fut reconstruite au 17e siècle. D'importants travaux eurent lieu au 19e siècle (charpente, corniche, voûtes, portail...). L'édifice forme un long rectangle de contreforts. Ce vaisseau se rétrécit à l'ouest, à l'emplacement du clocher-porche. Il s'agrandit au nord d'une chapelle rectangulaire à hauteur de la troisième travée de la nef. Une sacristie est accolée au chevet plat. Sur un portail en cintre brisé couronné d'un gâble et d'un oculus, l'étage du clocher est orné de colonnettes adossées entre un bandeau et une corniche sur modillons. Le clocher-porche est voûté de croisées d'ogives à quatre quartiers. La nef et le choeur datent du 19e siècle.

History
Church of original Romanesque origin, given in 1107 to the abbey of Ebreuil which united it to its priory Saint-Léger-de-Cognac. Destroyed during the Wars of Religion, it was rebuilt in the 17th century. Important works took place in the 19th century (roof structure, cornice, vaults, portal...). The building forms a long rectangle with buttresses. This nave narrows to the west, at the location of the porch tower. It extends to the north with a rectangular chapel at the height of the third bay of the nave. A sacristy is attached to the flat chevet. Above a portal with a broken round arch crowned with a gable and an oculus, the bell tower storey is decorated with small columns set against a band and a cornice on modillions. The porch tower is vaulted with rib vaults with four quarters. The nave and choir date from the 19th century.
