Historique
Vicairie perpétuelle du chapitre cathédrale d'Angoulême, l'église est signalée dès 1110. Seul le soubassement du mur nord peut présenter des restes de cet édifice primitif. Nef sans pilastres. Transept avec croisillons sans absidioles. Choeur terminé par un chevet plat. Un lambris a remplacé les voûtes, même la coupole du carré où ne subsistent que les colonnes ayant porté les rouleaux des grands arcs. Leurs bases et leurs chapiteaux indiquent le dernier tiers du 12e siècle. Le mur du fond du croisillon sud est sculpté en bas-relief. Le clocher rectangulaire s'élève sur le chevet. L'étage est moderne.

History
A perpetual vicarage of the cathedral chapter of Angoulême, the church is recorded from 1110. Only the base of the north wall may present remains of this primitive building. Nave without pilasters. Transept with transepts without absidioles. Choir terminated by a flat chevet. Lath and plaster has replaced the vaults, even the dome of the square where only the columns which bore the rolls of the great arches remain. Their bases and capitals indicate the last third of the 12th century. The back wall of the south transept is carved in bas-relief. The rectangular bell tower rises above the chevet. The storey is modern.
