Deux chemins permettent l'accès au château. Le premier est un passage à gué au-dessus de la Tardoire ; le second est un chemin venant de Montbron. La façade du château présente, sur la gauche, dans la cour intérieure, deux galeries superposées. La galerie supérieure, en bois, repose sur les trois arcades brisées de la galerie inférieure. Le château est accosté de tours à poivrières. Vers le nord se trouvent les communs de la ferme. L'entrée dans l'édifice se fait au nord, par une porte percée dans la tourelle ouest, porte ornée de moulures prismatiques et qui ouvre sur un escalier a vis menant aux salles supérieures. Vers l'ouest, une vaste tour découronnée a pu servir de donjon à l'ancien castel.

History
Two paths allow access to the castle. The first is a ford passage over the Tardoire; the second is a path coming from Montbron. The façade of the castle presents, on the left, in the interior courtyard, two superposed galleries. The upper gallery, in wood, rests on the three broken arches of the lower gallery. The castle is flanked by pepper-pot towers. Towards the north are found the outbuildings of the farm. Entry into the building is made to the north, by a door pierced in the western turret, a door decorated with prismatic mouldings which opens onto a spiral staircase leading to the upper rooms. Towards the west, a vast decapitated tower may have served as a keep for the old castle.
