L'église faisait partie de l'ancien diocèse de Limoges et le matériau granitique qui la constitue est très caractéristique de la région de la Marche limousine à laquelle elle appartient. Si le bâtiment primitif date en grande partie de la seconde moitié du 12e siècle, son allure générale a été modifiée au cours des guerres de Cent ans. L'édifice est à nef unique et abside orientée. Si la nef a sans doute été reconstruite à une époque indéterminée, la façade occidentale et l'abside ont en grande partie conservé l'allure qu'elles devaient avoir au 12e siècle. L'abside à sept pans coupés a été surélevée par un chemin de ronde et la pente de sa couverture a été modifiée. A l'intérieur, elle épouse un dessin semi-circulaire et est couverte d'une travée droite en berceau aigu à laquelle succède, vers l'est, une voûte en cul de four. L'angle sud-ouest de la nef est occupé par le massif du clocher. La façade occidentale s'ouvre par une porte à double voussure accentuée par des boudins qui retombent sur des chapiteaux surmontant les colonnettes des piédroits. Cette porte est surmontée d'un encadrement à ressaut dans lequel s'insère un bas-relief représentant l'Agneau nimbé tenant dans une gloire, portée par des anges.

History
The church was part of the old diocese of Limoges and the granitic material of which it is constituted is very characteristic of the region of the Limousin Marche to which it belongs. If the primitive building dates in large part from the second half of the 12th century, its general appearance was modified during the Hundred Years Wars. The building is of single nave and oriented apse. If the nave has undoubtedly been rebuilt at an undetermined period, the western façade and the apse have for the most part preserved the appearance they must have had in the 12th century. The apse with seven chamfered facets has been heightened by a parapet walk and the slope of its roof has been modified. On the interior, it follows a semi-circular design and is covered by a straight bay with acute barrel vault to which succeeds, towards the east, a cul-de-four vault. The south-west angle of the nave is occupied by the mass of the bell tower. The western façade opens by a door with double voussure accentuated by mouldings which fall back on capitals surmounting the small columns of the door jambs. This door is surmounted by a recessed framing in which is inserted a bas-relief representing the nimbed Lamb holding within a glory, carried by angels.
