Historique
Le couvent fut fondé à Cognac en 1612. La chapelle a été bâtie vers 1635. Le bas-côté droit subsiste seul. L'édifice a été entièrement reconstruit vers 1893-1894. Les seules parties anciennes sont le puits, les trois travées de voûtes d'ogives et la rampe d'escalier en fer forgé du 18e siècle. Le puits, du début du 17e siècle, présente un toit en pierre en forme de carène renversée, porté par quatre colonnes doriques. Les trois voûtes d'ogives reposent sur des culots Renaissance à ressaut. L'arc gothique date de 1894.

History
The convent was founded in Cognac in 1612. The chapel was built around 1635. The right aisle alone survives. The building was entirely rebuilt around 1893-1894. The only old parts are the well, the three bays of rib vaults and the wrought-iron stair ramp of the 18th century. The well, from the early 17th century, features a stone roof in the form of an inverted keel, supported by four Doric columns. The three rib vaults rest on Renaissance corbels with projection. The Gothic arch dates from 1894.
