Historique
Fondé en 1031 et uni à l'abbaye d'Ebreuil, l'ancien prieuré prit un grand développement aux 12e et 13e siècles. Ravagé pendant la guerre de Cent ans, puis les guerres de Religion, il fut abandonné en 1623 et remplacé par un prieuré de Bénédictins. L'église et le cloître primitifs ont été reconstruits au 13e siècle puis, après d'autres démolitions, au 18e siècle. Les vestiges de l'ancien cloître, au sud de l'église, se réduisent à trois séries d'arcades en plein cintre. La première est surmontée de trois étages, les suivantes d'un seul. Des lucarnes au fronton semi-circulaire sont ouvertes dans les combles. Le cloître se continuait à l'ouest, fermant la cour.

History
Founded in 1031 and united with the abbey of Ebreuil, the old priory experienced great development in the 12th and 13th centuries. Ravaged during the Hundred Years War, then the Wars of Religion, it was abandoned in 1623 and replaced by a priory of Benedictines. The church and the original cloister were rebuilt in the 13th century then, after further demolitions, in the 18th century. The remains of the old cloister, to the south of the church, are reduced to three series of round-arch arcading. The first is surmounted by three storeys, the following ones by a single storey. Dormers with semi-circular pediments are opened in the roof spaces. The cloister continued to the west, closing the courtyard.
