Historique

History
The first mention of the church dates from 1043. It will be rebuilt in the 14th century to be completed in 1411. Its reconstruction was undertaken in the 18th century on the plans of master Laurens, engineer, and master Pierre Figeac, architect. The laying of the first stone takes place in 1734 and construction is completed in 1769. The building has a single nave of five bays, flanked by chapels of which the two first, deeper and wider, serve as transept and chevet with five sides. The whole is covered with rib vaults. At the base of the nave is found the Rosary chapel, constructed at the end of the 17th century. It is a square chapel covered with a dome with lantern and semi-circular apse. This chapel is set against the square bell tower whose base is occupied by the Christ chapel. The first stone of the bell tower was laid in 1648. Bell tower with three levels underlined by band mouldings of storey, it is lit on each face by a geminate opening surmounted by an oculus at the level of the last storey. Four cylindrical corner turrets crown it. The marble portal is a work of the end of the 18th century. Two rusticated pilasters frame an opening with a round arch and support an entablature charged with a double niche where appear the two titular saints. The doors are decorated with the hinges from the door of the old church.
