Historique
La croix a été commanditée par l'un des membres de la famille des Guillem Riba, consuls de Vinca en 1361 et 1407. Ce monument se compose de cinq éléments. Le socle à deux degrés en marbre de Villefranche semble récent. La base se compose d'un fût en marbre, octogonal, primitivement accolé à un mur et étant sans doute un élément de réemploi. Le socle en marbre blanc sculpté était destiné à prendre appui sur un fût plus petit que l'actuel. Il est bordé d'une moulure à double rouleau dans sa partie basse et décoré sur chacune des huit facettes d'un relief représentant une baie gothique. History
The cross was commissioned by one of the members of the Guillem Riba family, consuls of Vinca in 1361 and 1407. This monument consists of five elements. The base with two steps in Villefranche marble appears recent. The base is composed of a shaft in marble, octagonal, originally attached to a wall and being undoubtedly an element of reuse. The socle in white sculpted marble was intended to rest on a shaft smaller than the current one. It is bordered by a moulding with double roll in its lower part and decorated on each of the eight facets with a relief representing a Gothic opening. Above, a sort of octagonal abacus bears an inscription in Gothic letters (Mossen Guille(m) Riba Alias Maco Ma Feta Fer). A cube in pink marble, of modern appearance, supports the cross in white marble. On one side, representation of Christ on the cross against a background of stylized foliage surrounding the cross like vines. On the other side, Virgin and Child.
