Le couvent fut construit à partir de 1575 sur des terrains offerts par les Perpignanais. Le cloître est commencé en 1617. En 1638, aménagement de la citerne d'eau. En 1791, après le départ des pères Minimes, l'administration militaire affecta les locaux à l'installation des offices de la Manutention et de l'Intendance. L'église est à nef unique de cinq travées bordées de chapelles latérales et se termine par un choeur à sept pans. La nef est couverte d'une toiture sur charpente portée par des arcs doubleaux diaphragmes. Le choeur est voûté sur nervures rayonnant à partir de la clé. De petits passages permettent la communication entre les chapelles latérales couvertes de voûtes sur croisée d'ogives. La façade sud-ouest s'ouvre par une porte en arc plein cintre, montée dans un appareil de marbre blanc. Le cloître se développe au sud-est de l'église, autour d'une cour quadrangulaire sous laquelle se trouve la citerne. Les quatre corps de bâtiment qui le composent sont en briques. Deux galeries superposées s'ouvraient autrefois sur la cour par une suite d'arcs plein cintre dont l'ordonnance par travée est la suivante : un grand arc au rez-de-chaussée, deux petits arcs jumelés au premier étage. Les galeries du rez-de-chaussée sont couvertes de voûtes en pénétration ; celles du premier étage sont charpentées. Au niveau de certaines travées, les galeries du rez-de-chaussée sont ornées de peintures murales disposées dans les espaces dégagés par les lunettes des voûtes. Elles semblent illustrer la vie de saint François de Paule, saint Antoine de Padoue et l'histoire de l'ordre des Minimes. Les portes donnant accès aux galeries ont un décor sculpté.

History
The convent was constructed from 1575 on land offered by the people of Perpignan. The cloister was begun in 1617. In 1638, arrangement of the water cistern.
