Historique
Autrefois église paroissiale d'un village disparu. L'édifice appartient au premier art roman et a été élevé au milieu du 11e siècle. Desaffectée, la chapelle conservait dans son abside des peintures murales romanes représentant le Christ en majesté, entouré des symboles des quatre évangélistes. Cette décoration se prolongeait dans le choeur par des scènes représentant l'adoration des mages, une Annonciation et une crucifixion. Le style des peintures et l'épigraphie des inscriptions permettent d'attribuer cet ensemble sensiblement à l'époque de la construction, ou un peu plus tard, au début du 12e siècle. Un autre ensemble de peintures qui se trouvaient dans une chapelle latérale, datait du début du 14e siècle. Ces fresques romanes caractérisent un style local dont les procédés sont ceux des miniaturistes des monastères catalans.

History
Formerly the parish church of a disappeared village. The building belongs to the first Romanesque art and was erected in the middle of the 11th century. Deconsecrated, the chapel preserved in its chevet Romanesque wall paintings representing Christ in majesty, surrounded by the symbols of the four evangelists. This decoration continued in the choir by scenes representing the adoration of the magi, an Annunciation and a crucifixion. The style of the paintings and the epigraphy of the inscriptions allow this ensemble to be attributed substantially to the period of construction, or somewhat later, to the beginning of the 12th century. Another ensemble of paintings which were found in a side chapel, dated from the beginning of the 14th century. These Romanesque frescoes characterise a local style whose procedures are those of the miniaturists of Catalan monasteries.
