History
The construction of a new church was decided following the destruction of the old parish during the siege of the town by the French in 1642. The reconstruction took place from 1667 to 1723, under the direction of the architect Joseph Morato (towards the end of the construction). This is a vast church with a single nave and polygonal chevet. On the exterior, the façade, dated 1720, is baroque in character with pediment and pilasters.
