Historique
Villa édifiée de 1900 à 1901 par l'ingénieur civil Joseph-Pierre Monin pour lui-même. Construite en pierre de taille, la villa présente une synthèse éclectique de différents styles : néo-roman, néo-baroque, néo-gothique et Art Nouveau. Edifice de plan massé, à deux étages sur rez-de-chaussée surélevé et sous-sol. Le parti général est celui d'un plan asymétrique distribué par un vaste vestibule central qu'éclaire un plafond vitré. L'agencement des volumes est également volontairement accidenté. A l'intérieur, le décor comprend plafonds à caissons, plafond en stuc, cheminées néo-Renaissance et néo-maniériste, vitraux, lambris, portes "Art Nouveau", décor peint "style floréale", tapisseries. History
Villa built from 1900 to 1901 by the civil engineer Joseph-Pierre Monin for himself. Built in ashlar stone, the villa presents an eclectic synthesis of different styles: neo-Romanesque, neo-Baroque, neo-Gothic and Art Nouveau. Building of massed plan, with two storeys over raised ground floor and basement. The general scheme is that of an asymmetrical plan distributed by a vast central vestibule lit by a glazed ceiling. The arrangement of volumes is also deliberately accidental. Inside, the decoration comprises coffered ceilings, stucco ceiling, neo-Renaissance and neo-Mannerist fireplaces, stained glass, wainscoting, "Art Nouveau" doors, painted decoration "floral style", tapestries. This villa is an excellent example of civil architecture of the beginning of the century. It is a synthesis between Art Nouveau and evocation of ancient styles.
