Historique
Le prieuré de Prunières était une possession de l'abbaye de la Chaise-Dieu, possession confirmée en 1145 par l'évêque de Mende. Eglise composée d'une nef de quatre travées terminée par une abside à cinq pans à l'extérieur comme à l'intérieur. La nef est voûtée en berceau brisé. La façade est surmontée par un campanile trapu. La porte d'entrée est placée à l'ouest et est à trois voussures dont la médiane retombe sur deux colonnettes romanes. Elle est flanquée de chaque côté d'une arcade aveugle nue creusant une niche dans l'épaisseur de la maçonnerie. Au-dessus, une fenêtre haute est encadrée par un arc en plein cintre reposant sur deux colonnettes et flanquée de deux arcades aveugles. Le campanile est à trois baies plein cintre sous arcades décoratives. Les baies inférieures aux arcades décorées de colonnettes romanes, sont surmontées d'une troisième baie plus petite, qu'encadre une armature nue.

History
The priory of Prunières was a possession of the abbey of la Chaise-Dieu, a possession confirmed in 1145 by the bishop of Mende. Church composed of a nave of four bays terminated by a five-sided apse on both the exterior and interior. The nave is vaulted in broken barrel vault. The facade is crowned by a squat bell tower. The entrance door is placed to the west and has three voussures of which the median falls on two Romanesque small columns. It is flanked on each side by a blind arcade cutting a niche in the thickness of the masonry. Above, a high window is framed by a round arch resting on two small columns and flanked by two blind arcades. The bell tower has three round-arch openings under decorative arcades. The lower openings to the arcades decorated with Romanesque small columns, are surmounted by a third smaller opening, which is framed by a bare framework.
