Une ceinture fortifiée fut établie dès le 14e siècle ou la fin du 13e. La tour d'angle dont il s'agit ici date du 15e siècle. Sa particularité est de présenter, vers la ville, un mur concave. Cette arrière face est largement ouverte par des arcs, de manière à placer l'ouvrage sous le tir des défenseurs de la ville en cas de prise de la tour. La tradition nomme cette tour circulaire, "tour de Baudon". Le chemin de ronde était porté par des consoles triples.

History
A fortified belt was established from the 14th century or the end of the 13th. The corner tower in question here dates from the 15th century. Its particular feature is to present, towards the town, a concave wall. This rear face is widely opened by arches, so as to place the structure under the fire of the town's defenders in case the tower were taken. Tradition names this circular tower, "tour de Baudon". The wall walk was carried by triple corbels.
