Les moulins sont mentionnés dans une charte du cartulaire de Gellone, antérieure à 1099. Le moulin primitif ne comprenait que la tour. Les meules étaient situées au rez-de-chaussée. History
The mills are mentioned in a charter of the Gellone cartulary, prior to 1099. The primitive mill comprised only the tower. The millstones were located on the ground floor. The feudal tower is an almost rectangular keep. Several vaulted storeys communicated by a very narrow passage. Access was to be made by ladders. In case of sudden floods or attacks, the miller could climb to the top of the tower. The machicolations at the top were removed by floods. In the lower part of the tower passes a diverted current that turned the large double millstone still preserved. In front was added later a low hall which was to contain other millstones.
