History

Before the fragmentation of its dependencies, the vast building occupied the entire part of île Beaulac comprised between rue Philippi and rue du Bayle. The hotel was rebuilt in 1708. Between 1742 and 1788, the Bardy family added to the building a certain number of elements: the entrance portal, the stair rail, various arrangements of the court facades, two curved iron balcony railings on the rear facade. The main dwelling presents itself as a rectangle of buildings arranged around a central court, the staircase occupying the left side of this court. Inside, two rooms have retained their intact decoration. The small drawing room, formerly called the dining room, is lit by two tall windows opening directly onto the court.
