D'après la tradition locale, l'édifice aurait été bâti entre 1625 et 1630 par Henri II, duc de Montmorency, pour son épouse. D'architecture sobre, il se compose de trois corps de bâtiments flanqués de quatre tours rondes et disposés en U sur une cour rectangulaire précédée d'une avant-cour d'entrée. L'ensemble est couvert d'une toiture à faible pente en tuiles rondes.

History
According to local tradition, the edifice would have been built between 1625 and 1630 by Henri II, duke of Montmorency, for his wife. Of sober architecture, it consists of three bodies of building flanked by four round towers and arranged in a U shape on a rectangular courtyard preceded by an entrance forecourt. The whole is covered with a shallow-pitched roof of round tiles.
