Historique
Cette vaste demeure, aujourd'hui morcelée, paraît avoir appartenu soit au seigneur lui-même, archevêque de Narbonne, pour le logement de ses viguiers temporels, soit à un dignitaire du chapitre collégial. La construction pourrait dater du début du 16e siècle. L'extérieur a été très remanié. L'intérieur conserve, au premier étage, la quasi totalité de son plafond primitif, avec poutrelles espacées et métopes inclinées, entre les poutrelles, au-dessus de chaque grande poutre. Huit métopes présentent des blasons, deux personnages, et des fleurs. Les poutres sont ornées de décors géométriques chevronnés. Une cheminée présente des jambages droits, à colonnettes, avec hotte verticale et une série de moulurations flamboyantes. Au centre, deux lions supportent un écu bûché.

History
This vast dwelling, today parcelled out, appears to have belonged either to the lord himself, archbishop of Narbonne, for the housing of his temporal vicars, or to a dignitary of the collegial chapter. The construction could date from the beginning of the 16th century. The exterior has been much altered. The interior preserves, on the first floor, virtually the entire original ceiling, with spaced beams and inclined metopes, between the beams, above each large beam. Eight metopes present coats of arms, two figures, and flowers. The beams are decorated with chevron geometric ornaments. A fireplace has straight jambs, with small columns, with vertical hood and a series of flamboyant mouldings. At the centre, two lions support a defaced shield.
