Historique
Le château a été construit par les archevêques de Narbonne, seigneurs du lieu, à une époque inconnue. Il serait dû à Pierre de la Jugie, archevêque de Narbonne de 1347 à 1375. L'édifice est mentionné en 1360. A cette époque, il ne devait exister qu'un grand corps de bâtiment, orienté est-ouest, en bordure de place. History
The castle was built by the archbishops of Narbonne, lords of the place, at an unknown date. It would be due to Pierre de la Jugie, archbishop of Narbonne from 1347 to 1375. This fortified house was defended by a series of machicolated arches, sprung between the buttresses of the southern façade.
