Historique
La partie ancienne de l'immeuble, à l'angle des rues des Balances et des Trois-Mulets, avec fenêtres flamboyantes, date de la fin du 15e siècle et peut représenter un vestige de l'hostellerie du Dauphin. L'hôtel, presque entièrement reconstruit, avec cours ornées et grand escalier, est un ouvrage du milieu du 17e siècle, plus probablement de la période 1650-1670. Au début du 19e siècle, de nouveaux bâtiments ont été élevés dans l'ancien jardin. Le tout a été morcelé en deux, vers 1822. History
The old part of the building, at the corner of the rue des Balances and rue des Trois-Mulets, with flamboyant windows, dates from the end of the 15th century and may represent a remnant of the Hôtel du Dauphin. The hotel, almost entirely rebuilt, with decorated courtyards and grand staircase, is a work of the middle of the 17th century, more probably of the period 1650–1670. At the beginning of the 19th century, new buildings were erected in the former garden. The whole was divided into two, around 1822. The older part became the Hôtel de Mac-Mahon and the other became the Hôtel de Castellane.
