Historique
Demeure édifiée par la famille Sauvant, originaire d'Italie, vers la fin du 13e siècle. Restauration de l'édifice à partir de 1595. La maison s'ordonne autour d'une cour intérieure en forme de trapèze rectangle. Trois ailes (sud-est, sud-ouest et nord-ouest) sont réservées au logis du maître. Le côté nord-est correspond aux communs. Trois ordres se superposent sur les trois ailes principales : toscan (rez-de-chaussée), corinthien (étage noble), composite (étage attique). Les pilastres des jambages des fenêtres se continuent sur toute la hauteur de la façade. L'entrée principale, percée dans la façade sud, présente une archivolte plein cintre encadrée de bossages un sur deux, couronnée d'un fronton cintré brisé à ressauts latéraux encadrant un cartouche postérieur à l'ensemble (après 1635) et martelé à la Révolution. History
Dwelling erected by the Sauvant family, originally from Italy, towards the end of the 13th century. Restoration of the building from 1595 onwards. The house is arranged around an interior courtyard in the form of a rectangular trapezoid. Three wings (south-east, south-west and north-west) are reserved for the master's main dwelling. The north-east side corresponds to the outbuildings. Three orders are superimposed on the three main wings: Tuscan (ground floor), Corinthian (noble floor), composite (attic floor). The pilasters of the window jambs continue over the full height of the façade. The main entrance, pierced in the south façade, presents a round-arch archivolt framed by rustication one in two, crowned by a broken segmental pediment with lateral setbacks framing a cartouche later than the whole (after 1635) and defaced during the Revolution. In the interior, to the south-east, the vestibule is covered by three flat ashlar vaults.
