La fontaine comporte un piédouche supportant une vasque couverte par une toiture circulaire ayant la forme de trois cloches superposées. Les briques recouvrant la charpente en bois sont vernies de diverses couleurs. La charpente est supportée par quatre colonnes en fonte à chapiteaux doriques. Une inscription mentionne l'année et le nom du premier consul, marquis de la Tarelle de la Tour, qui proposa son érection le 6 juillet 1639 tandis que l'inscription indique l'année 1649.

History
The fountain comprises a pedestal supporting a basin covered by a circular roof in the form of three superimposed bells. The bricks covering the timber roof structure are glazed in various colours. The roof structure is supported by four cast-iron columns with Doric capitals. An inscription mentions the year and the name of the first consul, marquis de la Tarelle de la Tour, who proposed its erection on 6 July 1639 while the inscription indicates the year 1649.
