The former parish church was located in the village. Towards the end of the 15th century or at the beginning of the 16th, it appears to have been transferred to its new location, outside the former fortified enceinte. There was there a Romanesque rural chapel which was preserved and incorporated into the new flamboyant building of which it forms an absidiole. Only the semi-circular chevet and the triumphal arch remain of this former chapel, called the Roumenguière. The construction of the flamboyant nave can be considered as prior to 1502. Three of the chapels are contemporary with the nave. The third to the north, covered with liernes and tiercerons, is more recent and appears to correspond to a foundation of 1547. The church did not possess a bell tower. The present bell tower, as well as a porch, were erected in 1807. The Philibert Delorme vaults were placed on the nave in 1854. The sanctuary is pentagonal and lit by three flamboyant windows. The support common to the arcs of the two bays of the choir of the sanctuary and of the chapel of the Roumenguière, is a powerful cruciform pillar, composed of four engaged columns, separated by four small columns. The column facing west was only placed for symmetry, for it receives no ribs.
