L'accès au château se fait par une rampe jadis précédée d'un pont-levis, détruit lors de la construction de la route. Un portail donne accès à une première cour intérieure où se trouve l'église paroissiale. Le grand escalier qui permettait d'accéder à la porte sud du château a été remplacé, vers 1890, par un escalier à deux volées. Cette façade sud est flanquée de deux tours carrées. Du côté nord se trouvent les anciennes murailles féodales, avec deux tours rondes et un reste d'échauguette. La grande salle du château a conservé sa grande cheminée en pierre, à hotte verticale, revêtue de trois panneaux en haut-relief. Les piédroits sont en granit du pays. Le plafond, à poutrelles apparentes, ne montre pas de traces de peinture décorative.

History
Access to the castle is by a ramp formerly preceded by a drawbridge, destroyed during the construction of the road. A gateway gives access to a first internal courtyard where the parish church is located. The grand staircase which allowed access to the south door of the castle was replaced, around 1890, by a two-flight staircase. This south facade is flanked by two square towers. On the north side are the former feudal walls, with two round towers and a remnant of a watch turret. The great hall of the castle has retained its large stone fireplace, with vertical hood, faced with three high-relief panels. The jambs are of local granite. The ceiling, with exposed beams, shows no traces of decorative painting.
