The apse was built at the end of the 12th century. The nave, begun in the 14th century, remained unfinished. The primitive frescoes were covered with paintings in the early 17th century, paintings themselves covered with white in 1686. At the end of the 19th century, the Romanesque windows were raised. The essential interest lies in the medieval frescoes of the flat chevet. At the centre is represented a deposition from the cross. The Virgin, standing, holds the right hand of Christ as it is unpinned. Inscription in Gothic characters. Small figure in the splaying of the left window opening. On the same side, a bearded king is seated, his hands extended towards another figure seated, seen frontally. On the epistle side, remains of draperies. A haloed figure holds a straight sword. The 17th-century frescoes present, at the top of the wall, two Renaissance-style niches facing each other. In the left one is found a head seen frontally (perhaps a Virgin). Under the choir is found a crypt.
