Historique
Situé dans l'île dite de l'Aumône, cet hôtel appartenait, en 1641, aux hoirs du vicaire général d'official de l'archevêque de Narbonne. La façade, remaniée, n'a conservé intacte que la porte en plein cintre, large et basse, appareillée en harpe. La clef, plus longue que les autres claveaux, fait saillie sous la douelle d'intrados. Aucun autre ornement que les refends. Un passage voûté en anse de panier donne accès à une cour avec un puits à margelle du 17e siècle et, à droite, à un grand escalier de pierre, à quartiers tournants sans balancement. Le départ d'escalier a de particulier que, pour gagner un peu de place pour le passage, les premières marches ont été taillées en contre-courbes. Le limon repose sur un mur renforcé par un pilier qui reçoit en même temps et dans le même plan, la retombée d'un arc en plein cintre servant de passage en soutenant le premier palier.

History
Located in the island called l'Aumône, this hotel belonged, in 1641, to the heirs of the vicar general and official of the archbishop of Narbonne. The facade, reworked, has retained intact only the gate in round arch, wide and low, laid in opus piscatum. The key, longer than the other voussoirs, projects under the intrados of the archway. No ornament other than rustication. A passage vaulted in a basket-handle arch provides access to a courtyard with a well with a coping from the 17th century and, to the right, to a large stone staircase, with turning quarters without swing. The departure of the staircase has the particular feature that, to gain a little space for the passage, the first steps were cut in counter-curves. The string rests on a wall reinforced by a pillar which receives at the same time and in the same plane, the spring of a round arch serving as a passage supporting the first landing.
