En 1576, cette maison ne faisait qu'un avec l'immeuble contigu. L'édifice actuel fut probablement bâti dans la première moitié du 17e siècle, après le morcellement de cet emplacement. Sur la cour, une galerie est portée par trois arcs en plein cintre à clefs saillantes. Chaque clef est ornée de bossages en trémie (onglets concaves ou équitrémoïde tronqué) d'un type fréquent à Narbonne. L'escalier à deux volées séparées par un mur d'échiffre, comporte une partie tournante supportée par des arcs. Aux arcs habituels s'ajoutent ici deux arcs dans les plans bissecteurs. Au-dessus d'une niche moderne a été incrusté un écusson surmonté d'un cimier à panache, avec retombées de feuilles de chêne. Le blason est celui de la famille Le Noir, qui a produit un grand nombre de notables.

History
In 1576, this house was one with the adjoining property. The present edifice was probably built in the first half of the 17th century, after the subdivision of this site. On the courtyard, a gallery is carried by three round-arch arcs with projecting keystones. Each keystone is adorned with rustication of the hopper type (concave chamfers or truncated equitremoid) of a type frequent in Narbonne. The staircase with two flights separated by an eccentric wall, comprises a turning part supported by arches. To the usual arches are added here two arches in the bisecting planes. Above a modern niche has been inset a shield surmounted by a crest with plume, with oak leaf returns. The escutcheon is that of the Le Noir family, which produced a large number of notable persons.
