Historique
L'édifice, ravagé par les guerres de Religion, a été entièrement rebâti au 17e siècle. Quelques murs ont été conservés de l'édifice précédent. Le chevet devait comporter une abside flanquée de deux absidioles. Les maçonneries anciennes conservées sont toutes situées au chevet. Des peintures ont été retrouvées, sur la paroi d'une chapelle latérale, dans une embrasure qui devait être une entrée d'abside. La peinture découverte présente un soubassement décoré de personnages groupés en scènes et qui semblait occuper une large partie du mur jusqu'à un niveau un peu inférieur à celui des naissances des arcs. Les scènes sont limitées, vers le haut, par deux galons, l'un orné de petits cercles, l'autre à fond blanc portant des inscriptions. Au-dessus des galons se trouve un élément de large bordure à motif de feuillages. Les arcs sont décorés de deux larges bandes. La première, placée en archivolte, représente un galon plié en chevrons, encadré de petites perles. La seconde est formée, sur un fond de petites perles régulièrement disposées, d'une série de cinq médaillons encadrés de galons et de perles, où sont représentés des figures. Il pourrait s'agir d'un décor du 12e siècle.

History
The building, ravaged by the Wars of Religion, was entirely rebuilt in the 17th century. Some walls were preserved from the previous building. The chevet must have comprised an apse flanked by two absidioles. All the ancient masonry preserved is located at the chevet. Paintings were discovered on the wall of a lateral chapel, in an opening that must have been an apse entrance. The painting discovered presents a dado decorated with figures grouped in scenes and which appeared to occupy a large part of the wall up to a level slightly below that of the springing of the arches. The scenes are bounded, at the top, by two stripes, one decorated with small circles, the other with a white ground bearing inscriptions. Above the stripes is found an element of wide border with a foliage motif. The arches are decorated with two wide bands. The first, placed in the archivolt, represents a stripe folded in chevrons, framed by small pearls. The second is formed, on a ground of small pearls regularly arranged, of a series of five medallions framed by stripes and pearls, where figures are represented. This could be decoration of the 12th century.
