Cet immeuble occupe l'emplacement de l'ancien couvent de soeurs Augustines, fondé au 15e siècle. La construction du bâtiment actuel doit être postérieure à 1735, année de l'achat de l'ensemble par François Roques. La façade sur rue est à deux étages sur rez-de-chaussée. Chaque étage est percé de sept baies en arc surbaissé, avec clef en relief et sculptures. Le portail fait légèrement saillie, en avant-corps, sans que cette saillie se continue aux étages. La clef du portail est ornée d'un grand masque barbu, avec une coquille au-dessus de la tête et une sous le menton. Les écoinçons sont ornés, en bas-relief, de rameaux de feuillages. Toutes les autres clefs de fenêtres sont sculptées en consoles Louis XV contournées. Les appuis de fenêtres du premier étage sont en fer forgé à décor ondulé. Ce corps de logis se prolonge, perpendiculairement à la rue, par deux ailes encadrant une grande cour, séparée en deux par une grille qui délimite le jardin, orné d'une fontaine. Dans la partie fixe, les barreaux verticaux se terminent, alternativement, par une pique en losange et par une vrille plate. Les pilastres encadrant les vantaux sont garnis de larges volutes opposées, ornées de rosaces à quatre pétales. Au fond du jardin, dans l'axe, une fontaine était ménagée dans une niche du mur de fond. Cette partie a été cimentée mais l'enduit a respecté le masque d'où s'écoulait l'eau. L'escalier principal se trouve dans l'angle de l'aile droite avec le corps de façade. Cet escalier est à deux volées parallèles, séparées par des paliers coupés par quatre marches non balancées. La rampe est constituée par une série de panneaux, rectangulaires au palier, en parallèlogrammes aux rampants, à décor spiralé symétrique encadrant un motif central à feuillage en tôle.

This building occupies the site of the former convent of Augustinian sisters, founded in the 15th century. The construction of the current building must be later than 1735, the year of the purchase of the whole by François Roques. The façade on the street has two storeys above ground level. Each storey is pierced by seven openings in depressed arch, with keystone in relief and sculptures. The pilasters framing the leaves are furnished with large opposed volutes, adorned with four-petalled rosettes. At the far end of the garden, in the axis, a fountain was set in a niche of the rear wall. This part has been cemented but the render has respected the mask from which water flowed. The main staircase is located in the angle of the right wing with the façade body. This staircase has two parallel flights, separated by landings cut by four unbalanced steps. The handrail is constituted by a series of panels, rectangular at the landing, in parallelograms on the rampants, with symmetrical spiral decoration framing a central leaf-work motif in sheet metal.
