La villa Porcianum est mentionnée dès 932 à l'occasion d'une donation aux chanoines de Saint-Nazaire et de Sainte-Marie-du-Saint-Sauveur. Le constructeur du château pourrait être d'Assalhy, juge criminel en 1569. La tourelle d'escalier est de section octogonale à l'extérieur, circulaire à l'intérieur. L'escalier en vis est à noyau plein. La voûte rampante est formée par le dessous des marches, taillées suivant une courbe convexe qui accroît leur résistance. La porte extérieure est datée de 1567 sur son linteau. Au-dessus, une fenêtre divisée par un meneau est surmontée d'un entablement dégradé. Immédiatement au-dessus, une bretèche à mâchicoulis défend l'entrée. Elle repose sur trois consoles sculptées. History
The villa Porcianum is mentioned as early as 932 on the occasion of a donation to the canons of Saint-Nazaire and Sainte-Marie-du-Saint-Sauveur. The builder of the château could be d'Assalhy, criminal judge in 1569. The staircase turret is octagonal in section on the exterior, circular on the interior. The spiral staircase has a solid newel.
