History
No doubt erected around 1700, this Louis XIV gateway is characteristic of classical sobriety and elegance. Formed of a carriage gateway opening onto a courtyard, it presents a round arch resting on two imposts. The top consists of a curved pediment with interrupted base and, at the centre, surrounding what appears to be the location of a coat of arms, a cartouche of foliage with incurved scrolls, decorated on each side with a drape held by a ring.
