Le concours pour la construction d'une halle est lancé en 1866 et remporté par l'architecte Durand. Les travaux sont exécutés entre 1868 et 1871. Les abris extérieurs datent de 1928. History
A competition for the construction of a covered market was launched in 1866 and won by architect Durand. The works were executed between 1868 and 1871. The external shelters date from 1928. The covered markets are divided into two parts: one vaulted forming a basement; the other covered with a metal roof structure. A square develops around the perimeter. The iron and glass section presents itself in the form of a large rectangular vessel under a two-pitched roof covering with a lantern, divided internally into three naves. The access doors were given a decorative treatment of columns with a triangular pediment.
