History
This former hotel, whose construction dates from the end of the 15th century, is famous for having housed the royal palace and the conciergerie from the middle of the 16th century until the middle of the 19th century. It is also reputed to be the place where Françoise d'Aubigné was born, future Madame de Maintenon. Currently only sections of walls in rubble stone and ashlar remain.
