Le château se composait de deux enceintes, la première à l'ouest ; la seconde, qui formait un parallélogramme, s'étendait du nord au sud, entourée de douves et flanquée de six grosses tours qui conservent des chambres voûtées à nervures, avec corbelets et cheminées sculptés. Toutes les tours sont reliées entre elles par un chemin de ronde voûté. L'ensemble des constructions paraît dater du 13e siècle. Au 15e siècle, le château subit un siège et fut pris.

History
The château consisted of two enclosures, the first to the west; the second, which formed a parallelogram, extended from north to south, surrounded by moats and flanked by six large towers which preserve rib-vaulted chambers, with corbels and sculpted fireplaces. All the towers are connected to one another by a vaulted wall walk. The ensemble of constructions appears to date from the 13th century. In the 15th century, the château underwent a siege and was taken.
