Historique
Guillaume, prieur d'Aureil, céda entre 1160 et 1170 à Gérald, évêque de Limoges, la moitié de l'église de Saint-Pierre. L'édifice présente une nef unique à trois travées dont la dernière forme choeur à chevet plat. Deux chapelles latérales flanquent la seconde travée. Un clocher surmonte la façade occidentale. Une sacristie a été construite contre le chevet. A l'intérieur, les deux premières travées sont voûtées d'ogives avec clé sculptée. Sur les voûtes, des fragments de peinture apparaissent sous l'enduit. Une niche quadrangulaire a été aménagée dans la maçonnerie nord du choeur et une porte en plein cintre ajoutée pour communiquer avec la sacristie, surmontée de la date 1747. L'intrados de l'arcade de la chapelle sud présente un décor peint polychrome, composé de motifs géométriques et d'un quadrillage imitant un appareillage.

History
Guillaume, prior of Aureil, ceded between 1160 and 1170 to Gérald, bishop of Limoges, half of the church of Saint-Pierre. The building presents a single nave of three bays, the last of which forms a choir with flat chevet. Two lateral chapels flank the second bay. A bell tower surmounts the western façade. A sacristy has been constructed against the chevet. Inside, the two first bays are vaulted with rib vault with sculpted keystone. On the vaults, fragments of painting appear beneath the render. A quadrangular niche has been arranged in the north masonry of the choir and a round arch door added to communicate with the sacristy, surmounted by the date 1747. The intrados of the arcade of the south chapel presents a polychrome painted decoration, composed of geometric motifs and a grid pattern imitating coursing.
