Monument aux morts situé sur la place principale du bourg. D'après un modèle en bois dessiné par le conseiller municipal Duburgt, il est réalisé en 1923 par des artisans locaux : Jules Pollachi, sculpteur, Ed. Guichard, fondeur et Emile Eglizeaud, entrepreneur. Projet adopté par le conseil municipal et le maire Jules Coutaud, jauréssien et membre de la SFIO, c'est l'un des dix monuments d'inspiration pacifiste recensés en France. L'apostrophe Maudite soit la guerre est mise en évidence par le poing levé d'un orphelin, habillé en costume local. Frappé d'opprobre par les autorités, le monument n'a jamais été inauguré, mais la liste des morts a été complétée par ceux de 1939-45.

History
War memorial situated on the main square of the town. According to a wooden model drawn by municipal councillor Duburgt, it was made in 1923 by local craftsmen: Jules Pollachi, sculptor, Ed. Guichard, founder and Emile Eglizeaud, contractor. Project adopted by the municipal council and mayor Jules Coutaud, Jauressian and member of the SFIO, it is one of the ten monuments of pacifist inspiration recorded in France. The apostrophe Cursed be war is emphasised by the raised fist of an orphan, dressed in local costume. Struck with disfavour by the authorities, the monument was never inaugurated, but the list of the dead was completed with those of 1939-45.
